Background
The Chad Firefinch occurs in a narrow band of habitat between northern Cameroon and southern Chad. Following photographs taken in 2009 there were apparently no documented records until 2022 when the firefinch was sound recorded by Thibaut Chansac on 28 February 2022 in northern Cameroon.
